  • Is your facility accredited?
    Yes, Bellevue is a fully accredited facility in the provision of care to residents with current ACAT approval.

  • Can I have my own room?
    Yes, single rooms are available.

  • Are there additional fees?
    All fees will be discussed openly before you make your decision to reside with us. Information regarding the current government fee schedules and policies can be found at The Department of Health and Ageing (Schedule of Resident Fees and Charges).

  • Are activities available?
    Yes, Bellevue Care Centre offers a wide variety of activities to all residents and these are advertised in our monthly “Banter”. Activities include bingo, craft, bus trips, in-house movies, restaurant outings, art shows, trivia days, local council activities and concerts.

  • Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
    Bellevue caters for all dietary requirements and consults with Dieticians and Speech Therapists to ensure residents are receiving adequate nutrition in an appropriate form. Monthly resident meetings provide an opportunity for residents to discuss menu options, or this can be done by speaking with any of our Registered Nursing staff.

  • Are we allowed to bring any of our own furniture?
    We readily assist residents and their families to make their rooms their own. Beds, linen, bedside tables and wardrobes are all provided.

  • Do you cater for couples?
    Yes, we facilitate shared accommodation for couples where able. Both resident’s need to be in possession of current ACAT approvals.

  • How is resident safety maintained?
    All Bellevue employees, subcontractors and volunteers possess current Police clearances. We have a strict nightly lock down routine which is followed stringently by all staff. Regular checks are made of all wards throughout the day and night to account for residents’ whereabouts. All visitors must sign in and out, registering their reason for visiting the facility. All accessible areas are electronically secured. Fire Safety compliance is of paramount importance at Bellevue Care Centre. All of our buildings and policies comply with strict government regulations. All staff attend annual training sessions to ensure they are proficient in managing any emergency. We also utilise a facility-wide emergency call system.

  • Can I still use my own doctor?
    Bellevue will always facilitate continuity of care. If your General Practitioner is able to attend to home visits, then we are more than happy to work alongside him/ her. We have a dedicated group of General Practitioners who visit Bellevue on a regular basis. We will facilitate a change to one of these if you require.
