Government must take 'urgent action' on GP retention, says RCGP

GPs are being driven out of the profession by high levels of stress and burnout, pension rules, family and caring responsibilities and workforce shortages, with 42% likely to leave general practice in the next five years, a new report by the RCGP has said.
