About GPonline

GPonline provides daily news, information and guidance on all the issues that affect GPs and the rest of the primary care team in their working lives.

We aim to support GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals in their day-to-day practice, helping them to understand the changing NHS in which they work. We also provide practical advice and information for GPs at all stages of their careers.

Our popular red flags series provides quick summaries of alert signs and symptoms that could indicate a more serious underlying pathology. Meanwhile, our GP training section contains advice and information tailored to GP registrars, including articles to help trainees to improve their consultation skills, meet the demands of workplace-based assessment and prepare for the RCA and AKT exams.

GPonline's weekly podcast Talking General Practice includes discussion and analysis on the key news stories affecting primary care, alongside interviews with GPs and others working in the sector to provide more insight into the issues that matter.

GPonline is closely linked to our sister site GP Business, which is aimed at helping partners and practice managers be individually more effective and make their practices more efficient. Formerly Medeconomics, we have been providing GPs and practice managers with essential advice on finance, management and contracts since 1980.
