Viewpoint: Investment in practice managers is a step towards saving general practice

At a time when the GP contract is more complex than ever, effective practice managers are fundamental to the success of the practices they work in. It's time for the NHS to invest in their development - and to simplify the contract to give them a chance, says Dr Richard Van Mellaerts.
